The Out of Oak Remixes LP is dedicated to those who believe in more than just an existence.

On the 27th June 2012 we launched our first EP entitled Out Of Oak, Out Of Oak served to document the spitirual and artistic journey of a group of close friends and musicians. We where Southpaw.

In the lead up to the EP’s release we would put on two fundraisers called Sundance and with the help of the band Luke began a night called STEEZ. There would be five STEEZ’s and two Sundances before the Raindance (EP release) came.

Throughout the next year STEEZ would grow to be one of the many get togethers at the heart of an amazingly inspiring community of creative minds in South London and the band grew creatively in tandem with the night.

We first did the shout out to producers and beatmakers early in 2013 with regards to remixing tracks for a potential remix EP – by July 2014 we have a remix LP consisting of 14 tracks.

The LP has contained on it 13 different artists work, the work of righteous minds that have all played the part in either the journey of southpaw or the flourishing of STEEZ and in some cases both.

This LP marks the end of Southpaw as some of you have known and loved it but it also serves as a momento for the beautiful spiritual and artistic relationships that have spawned out of the STEEZ community and beyond.

Thanky ou to all of those who have given their energy and most importantly their time over the years. Long live this movement and the care, love and ideas within it.
